It is used in industrial products, glass surfaces, ceramics, explosives, fertilization and glazing industries, personal care products, soft soap production, food industry, production of inorganic salts, chemical dyes and wool finishing. Potassium carbonate is also used in the alkalization of cocoa powder and as a leavening agent in combination with sodium aluminium phosphate. Adding potassium carbonate to liquid soap prevents hydrolysis and helps to increase the washing effect. In addition, potassium carbonate is used to keep liquid soap liquid and prevent it from gelling. Potassium carbonate is an easy-to-process and easy-to-find compound used in many fields, from television tubes to photography. Potassium carbonate is not flammable, so it is widely used in fire extinguishers. |
