There are elements that have a unique shine, are prone to shaping, and give basic oxides when combined with oxygen. These are called metals. Metals are also elements with a high tendency to form cations.
The mentioned Element types are divided into categories among themselves. These category headings appear as noble metals and non-noble metals. The noble metals are listed as follows: Gold, silver and platinum. Non-nobles are iron, zinc and aluminum.
There are elements with semi-metal properties in nature. They do not show good metal properties. Therefore, they exhibit both metal and nonmetal properties. Examples of these are elements such as silicon, boron, antimome, arsenic. When we look at nature, nonmetal elements are found in the majority. However, most of the elements in the periodic table are metals.
